Homework
A fifth grade student at Most Holy Trinity should expect to have
approximately 50 minutes of homework each night.  Homework items
include unfinished daily assignments and reading for monthly book reports.
All students have an assignment notebook to help organize and keep
current on all assignments. Parents can help with homework by checking
the assignment notebook and giving any assistance where necessary.
Fifth graders are expected to complete the majority of their
work independently with parents acting as the supervisor.
Supply List
- 2 packages of #2 pencils
- 5 mechanical pencils
- 3 red or green correcting pens
- 2 2-pocket folders - (Please purchase the inexpensive, plain, paper-like
folders with the pockets across the bottom - no pictures or designs and 2 different colors
- 2 spiral notebooks in colors to match pocket folders
- 2 hilighers
- 1 pair of adult scissors
- 1 24 count box of Crayola crayons (NO Roseart)
- 1 pkg. of Crayola markers - Classic Colors, wide. Other sizes and colors optional
- 24 count Crayola colored pencils
- Watercolor paint set (Prang or Crayola only)
- 1 package of looseleaf paper (wide-lined)
- 2 "Composition Book" (9 3/4 x 7 1/2 wide ruled w/black marbled cover #09910)
- 1 large pink eraser
- 1 pkg. erasers for pencil ends
- 3 spiral notebooks - wide ruled
- 2 boxes of Kleenex
- 1 bottle of glue
- 1 large size glue stick
- 1 container of wet wipes
- 1 pair of tennis shoes for gym
- 1 long sleeved adult-sized button shirt for use as an art shirt (labeled w/name)
- 1 adult dictionary for use at home (Do not send to school)
- 1 water bottle
- 2 large and 2 medium size stretchy bookcovers are recommended as they stay on,
can hold papers and can be used another year
- 1 assignment notebook for each semester to be purchased at school.
(Cost per book is $3.50 for a total of $7.00.  This money should
be sent in an envelope marked "Assignment Notebook" with the child's name on the first day
of school.)
- $5 cash in an envelope for Mrs. Savoie to purchase graph paper for math assignments. (please
do not include this with any other payments)
